Silicon and Germanium Packaging

Sine 1989, Lattice Materials has been leading the way in silicon and germanium optics. Having shipped millions of parts, we are experts in cleaning and packaging often fragile pieces. We maintain standard packaging that is suitable for most parts and can provide non-contact, cleanroom packaging when required.

Standard Packaging

Blanks Under 10"

Unpolished parts under 10″ (250 mm) in diameter will be shrink wrapped and sealed on cardboard then placed in a cardboard box with foam inserts.

Blanks 10"-18"

Unpolished parts greater than 10″ (250 mm) will be placed in foam lined boxes for shipment.

Cz Seeds

Czochralski growth seeds and some other long, cylindrical parts will be placed in individual plastic shipping tubes and then cardboard boxes.

Polished Parts < 3"

Polished Parts <3"

Polished parts less than 3.15″ (80 mm) will be wrapped in a lens cloth or placed in a lens envelope or bag and may then be wrapped in bubble wrap. Multiple parts may be packaged in the same box. Polished surfaces will be contacted by packaging materials.

Polished Parts > 3"

Large polished parts (those greater than 3.15″ or 80 mm) will be packaged in a cardboard box with foam inserts and lens cloth or Rayon sheets protecting polished surfaces. Polished surfaces will be contacted by packaging materials.
