As one of the only U.S.-based manufacturers with the capability to custom-grow germanium and silicon crystals, this funding helps further secures the U.S. supply chain for defense components made from these critical materials.
This award is expected to increase germanium and silicon crystal production capacity and reduce lead times to increase readiness for key aerospace and defense contracts.
