Staff Accountant

The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential with the ability to multi-task is required. This position will:

  • Close monthly books including: reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing income statement trends and preparing monthly Financial Statements, schedules & graphs.
  • Prepare bi-weekly Payroll and quarterly reports
  • Review A/P and A/R entry
  • Track Fixed Assets including depreciation schedules and locations

To be considered for this position:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, including two plus years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience with general ledger and preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Corporate and cost accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong proficiency skills with an accounting software, fixed asset programs, and Microsoft Excel & Word

Sr. Crystal Growth Technician

We’re looking for a highly detail oriented Sr. Crystal Growth Technician in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will participate in all facets of the day-to-day crystal growth activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor various crystal growth processes.
  • Growth station set-up and breakdown, loading furnaces correctly
  • Visual inspection skills for crystal growth process
  • Operation record keeping, maintaining accurate records of all processing steps on paper and in a computerized database.
  • Develop and follow process SOP documentation and safety procedures.
  • Plan and expedite work schedules to meet production and quality requirements goals.
  • Routine equipment & facility maintenance.
  • Responsible for parts and supplies inventory and work in process.
  • Must have good computer skills for record keeping, scheduling, and communication.
  • Must be detailed oriented and used to working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Routine verbal and written communications with management and other parts of the operation.

Education/Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Physics or a closely related engineering field is desired but not essential. Experience in crystal growth production. Experience in handling of high purity materials and processes. Experience with the assembly, preventative maintenance and operation of crystal growth equipment. Strong hands on skills in electrical and mechanical systems.

Technical Sales Engineer

Lattice Materials is actively seeking a key Technical Sales Engineer who can combine technical knowledge with superior sales skills to lead the company towards continued growth. He/she will work directly with strategic accounts to sell the company’s existing and future products in infrared optics, thin film coating sources, and silicon machined parts. The work of the Technical Sales Engineer involves driving towards results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self direction, results are only achieved with and through people. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in both small and mid-size company environments on how to successfully influence and persuade others towards a common goal. The job requires a high degree of “selling”, whether of technical ideas or products and services that Lattice can provide in the marketplace. This position will be located remotely in the North or Southeastern U.S. to be able to work directly with existing and new accounts primarily on the Eastern Seaboard.

Primary responsibility is managing existing accounts, prospecting new accounts, and promoting the company’s developing value added services. Develop rapport with customers to cultivate understanding of their requirements and specifications. Effectively manage customer base. Assist in quotes and orders.

  • Be able to work as a team member with other departments to properly communicate/coordinate customer specific and/or special requirements.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required; a minimum of five to ten years sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Technical experience alone is not adequate. The successful candidate will have demonstrated sales experience, prospecting, marketing and/or inside sales skills. Particular attention will be paid to specific training and experience in managing strategic major accounts.
